Light Weight Antennae
By Fred Keller, Alaska

Quick jump to see other T&T ideas:

To REDUCE THE ANTENNAE WEIGHT, cut the antennae wire leaving an inch of antennae hanging out of the receiver.

Light Weight Anteannae

Solder a tiny pin connector to the antennae wire stub from the receiver. Small pin connectors can be found at electronic stores. Cut a length of 30 gauge fine wire equal to the length of antennae wire that was removed. Solder the opposite sex connector to this wire. Now tape the 30 guage antennae wire across the wing covering securing it in place with periodic small squares of clear tape with the antennae connector end next to the receiver. Connect the antennae to the receiver. You have now saved yourself a few more grams. WHAT A NEAT TRICK!
