"I used cheap household objects (a plactic core from a Scott Tape roll) to build a quck release engine mount. I have had good luck with it. It will allow the Graupner 280 4:1 gearbox to slide out rather than breaking the mount off the carbon fiber. ...My I.F.O. was snap to build and even easier to fly. Here is John's explanation "I built this motor mount out of 1/18" lite ply (probably could have use 1/16") to make it easier to service the motor and gearbox and mounted it to the frame with good adhesive strong which is not as brittle as CA."
